Phoebe

Phoebe is the Director of A Touch Of Musicality and teaches Vocals, Piano, Songwriting and Music Theory. She also founded, leads and writes all the arrangements for our choirs.

Phoebe started singing at a very young age, and music has always been a massive part of her life. She got her first taste of real singing when she moved to Singapore as a young girl and her music teacher told her she was really good at it. She went on to perform all over the country in bands and as a solo artist. Musical theatre was always a big influence in her life - performing in local amateur dramatic societies and school plays, but it soon became clear that Jazz music was her main passion. She went on to Goldsmiths University, where she graduated with a First Class Honours Degree before meeting her husband Matt in a band, and their love of music and teaching grew and grew. Teaching is Phoebe's true passion, she puts everything into it, and loves to see her student's progression. In her spare time, you can find her running the streets of Godalming and helping and fundrasing local charities.

Matt

Matt teaches Guitar, Ukulele, Bass Guitar & Music Theory. Matt began playing the guitar at the age of seven and hasn't put it down since. He knew music was for him from a young age and has always been in bands of all different genres. Matt and Phoebe met in 2010 and since then have played and worked together, both performing and teaching (and in between had time to get married!). Matt graduated from ACM in 2006 and has been teaching around the local area ever since. He works for local primary schools, privately and can even be found on the cover of teaching books. He currently plays in a Jazz trio with Phoebe and Alex, and when he's not playing his guitar he is almost always out on his motorbike.

Atalia

Atalia teaches piano, music theory & beginner vocals. Her love of music began when she started playing the recorder at age three. Her poor mum & dad suffered her attempts of 'we three kings' pretty much all year round.  Fast forward a few years & Atalia went to study Music at the University of Surrey, where as part of her degree she had the opportunity to work in the education department of the Philharmonic Orchestra with primary school children at inner-city schools. She even got to work at venues such as Royal Festival Hall & Abbey Road Studios! From then on she knew she wanted to teach, and for the last 9 years has worked as a music teacher in two local secondary schools.

Her recorder days are long since over and now her focus lies in teaching and performing Classical, Jazz & contemporary piano. She is also an A-Level music examiner and enjoys teaching harmony, composition, essay technique and theory at GCSE & A-Level standard.

Nora

Nora prides herself in being a kind, friendly and encouraging teacher. She has 4 years of experience teaching singing and piano to people of all ages and has also led choir sessions for adults and children.

Her dad says she sang before she could talk (yes, like in that Abba song) and she started playing piano when she was six years old. Growing up she took part in numerous plays and concerts as well as touring the world with her youth choir “KamÄ“r…”. Finally, in 2017 she graduated from The Academy of Contemporary Music with a First Class Honours Degree in vocals.

Besides being a teacher, Nora is also a singer and songwriter. Her single "Be Patient" was selected as a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Contest 2020 - so, if you need some help with writing your own songs - you know who to talk to! In her free time, Nora can be found outdoors, hiking, or drinking coffee. Being close to God makes her happy.
